Please read if you recently received an incorret "Your Membership Is Expiring" e-mail notice

What happened

On, or around, June 22 and June 30, 2022 a batch of incorrect “Your Goodguys membership is expiring in 30-days” e-mail notices were accidentally sent out to members whose memberships are in good standing.

Clarification E-mail Sent

We have sent a clarification e-mail on July 3rd to all of those that received this errant notice whose memberships are in good standing and not expiring on July 31, 2022.

Due to the amount of errant e-mails that went out our customer service may not be able to respond to your phone message or e-mail inquiries.

If you received our clarification e-mail sent on July 3rd then your account is in good standing and not expiring on July 31, 2022.

The accurate status of your membership is located under My Account (top navigation) and then My Membership (once logged in). On the My Membership page you will see your “status” and you next payment date, which is also your expiration date.

If you tried to renew from the link in this e-mail

If you clicked on the “Renew Now” button in this e-mail notice your account has been updated on the live website (this site) for you.

Why this happened

On our testing website we have all e-mail notifications turned off, specifically to prevent this exact issue. During the recent testing of new website coding this feature was accidentally disabled even when the setting to prevent e-mails from being sent was showing as active.

We have caught this error and have resolved this issue from happening in the future.

We appreciate your patience and understanding

We never want to cause our loyal membership any unwanted stress or issues regarding your membership information. Our membership technical team is taking many precautions to prevent such issues from happening in the future.
